Information for School Counselors

The Wesleyan Admission Deans appreciate the significant role school counselors play in students’ college search and acknowledge the unending and underappreciated hours you put in on their behalf. We welcome any opportunity to work with you to provide greater insight into the college application and admission process. We invite a dialogue with each of you, enjoy the opportunity to connect “across the desk,” and appreciate the conversations.
Bridging the Gap
Wesleyan has long been a leader in providing access to underrepresented students and diversifying our student body. We have been a committed QuestBridge Partner College since 2008 and graduated the first class of Quest Scholars in 2012. We typically enroll between 30 to 40 Quest Scholars each year, including no fewer than 10 scholars through the College Match—all of whom have their full demonstrated need met through comprehensive, need-based financial aid. Quest scholars ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ come from small, rural towns across the country as well as major urban centers.
QuestBridge Scholars ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ have access to a large network of mentors, and well over 100 peers on campus from across the country to share in their journey and support the pursuit of their goals. Whether enrolled through the College Match or through an Early or Regular Decision process, our QuestBridge scholars have helped to shape our academics, student life, extracurriculars, and innovative projects on campus, in the community, and around the world.
