Wesleyan's In-house Print Shop

The Print Shop is open for business but is closed to visitors.

Please submit print projects to printing@wesleyan.edu

At Cardinal Print and Copy we are always looking for ways to expand and improve printing services offered to the Wesleyan Community. Our goal is to provide fast, accurate printing at competitive prices. Before sending a print project to an off campus vendor take a look at what we can do for you. To submit a printing request send an email to printing@wesleyan.edu or call at (860) 685-2132. Be sure to include any pertinent details as well as the delivery deadline.

Located in room 116 of the Exley Science Center. 

Our services are available to faculty, staff, students and non profit organizations. We accept credit card, student account, Middletown Cash and smartkey.

Wesleyan now holds an Annual Copyright License from Copyright Clearance Center (CCC). This license provides institution-wide coverage for the reuse of a large selection of text-based copyrighted content, in both print and electronic formats, for educational and research purposes.

All photos are printed on glossy photo paper. Matte and semi-gloss are available on request.

LARGE FORMAT PRINTING

Cardinal Print & Copy is proud to offer large format printing to the Wesleyan community.

Rate

$4.00 per square foot

Lead Time

While it doesn't take long to print the typical file, we do need to fit it into our schedule. Please let us know when you need the poster and we will let you know the latest we can receive it. Please make sure your file is set to the size you would like printed. Resizing takes time and can delay delivery.

Size

We stock paper in 42" rolls. Please make sure your width or length is 40" or less, to account for margins.

Paper Options

Our stock paper is a Satin finish 10 mil paper. We also have a 35lb heavyweight, coated paper (130g/m) with a matte finish, a glossy paper and Tyvek.

We accept PDF and TIFF files. If you are using special characters or additional language fonts please send the file as a TIFF.

Meeting Your Deadlines

We understand the importance of meeting deadlines. If you are planning a large project with a specific deadline and would like to reserve time on our printing calendar contact us at printing@wesleyan.edu Include details of the job, smartkey and the deadline date. We will contact you to tell you when we must receive your job to make your deadline happen. We will also order materials and block off time in our print calendar to ensure that your project remains a top priority.

Approving Your Proofs/Quality of Image

At your request we will produce a sample printing for your approval. We will not proceed with the job until you are satisfied and sign off on the sample.

Quality of Image

We provide 600 dpi copy images and 1200 dpi print images.

Papers in Stock

We stock white 8 1/2 x11,  8 1/2 x14, and 11x17 in white only. Colors are available by special order. Special orders generally take 48 hours.

Duplexing

We can print on both sides of the page. This is a great way to reduce costs and cut down on mailing expenses. We can duplex print on paper weights ranging from 20lb to 70lb.
