Wesleyan’s Spanish faculty offers a flexible, interdisciplinary program designed to foster the linguistic proficiency and intercultural awareness necessary for living, studying, and working successfully in a Spanish-speaking environment, in the U.S. or abroad. While improving their ability to communicate in Spanish, our students learn about the breadth and diversity of Spanish-language literatures and cultures. They develop critical self-awareness by becoming more adept at understanding other points of view. They acquire the resources needed to develop their own creative and critical capacities and to succeed in future academic and professional endeavors.
