Although Wesleyan no longer offers its own program in Israel, our students benefit from a number of exciting programs:

Ben-Gurion University    

The semester and year-long programs designed for college students seeking a formative academic period of study in Israel. Students study Hebrew language, in addition to choosing from a variety of English-taught courses in Jewish and Israel studies, political science, history, anthropology, Arabic, arts and literature, global health, and ecology. Volunteer opportunities: in government offices, the Soroka Medical Center, with at-risk youth, in Beduin communities, and more.

Hebrew University in Jerusalem,  

The oldest program in Israel, courses often taught by renowned scholars in Jewish and Israel Studies.

University of Haifa     

Multi-cultural university, programs specializing in Peace & Conflict, as well as in Psychology; programs in Arabic and Hebrew, and others.

Arava Institute for Environmental Studies 

The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies (AIES) is the premier environmental education and research program in the Middle East. Affiliated with Ben-Gurion University,AIES houses academic programs, research, and international cooperation initiatives on a range of environmental concerns and challenges. Students at AIES study a range of environmental issues from a trans-boundary and interdisciplinary perspective while learning peace-building and leadership skills.
