(CPTV) premieres the sixth season of , designed to bring viewers a new appreciation for the people and places that make the state so unique, with a new , David Bibbey. In “Up the River,” the first episode of the sixth season, Mr. Bibbey explores the Connecticut River. With the help of , located in Haddam, he takes a ride on a riverboat in Essex, and learns about the wildlife and habitat of the Connecticut River. Plus, he explores in East Haddam, and visits the restaurant in Middletown. Other featured towns and locations include Christina DeFranco's visit to in Norwalk; and Ed Wierzbicki continues his Emmy Award-winning “Spotlight on the Arts” stories, featuring 九色视频’s Center for the Arts in Middletown.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary during the 2013-2014 season, the CFA hosts groundbreaking experimental artists and performers from around the world. Hear from Pamela Tatge, Director of the Center for the Arts, as well as from visiting artists including Margaret Jenkins (Artistic Director of San Francisco's ), Anna Snow, Kerry Andrew, and Sarah Dacey of London's , and '04 (featured in the exhibition in the ), about the importance of this creative space to and its students, as well as to the art world at large. The segment also includes footage of Liz Lerman Dance Exchange's , the Wesleyan Theater Department production of , and a by Professor of History and East Asian Studies and Visiting Artist in Dance and the College of East Asian Studies .
