Fifth annual Bach to School opening of the concert year by Artist in Residence and University Organist Ronald Ebrecht, performing music from his globe-spanning concerts, including works by Johann Sebastian Bach (the highly virtuosic Prelude and Fugue in e minor BWV 548, The Wedge); César Franck (Choral in b minor), and Franz Liszt (Fantasy and Fugue on the Theme B-A-C-H). Mr. Ebrecht will also perform his arrangements for organ, double bass, percussion, and vibraphone of works from the suite Pink Music, composed by John Spencer Camp Professor of Music , accompanied by percussionist Richard Dart and bassist Rodger Bryan.
